This stretch of Table Mountain’s contour path runs through Newlands Forest on the eastern flank, used as a shaded walk rather than a summit route. SANParks does not publish a kilometre figure for this forest section, so we do not invent one. Rocky underfoot in places; no scrambling on this listing. Dogs need a SANParks My Activity permit. Dogs are not allowed in the Newlands picnic and braai area. Confirm current trail conditions on the TMNP pages.
