India Venster climbs almost directly beneath the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway, threading through a rock 'window' (venster is Afrikaans for window) via sections of bouldering and scrambling aided by chains and metal staples. Multiple independent hiking guides rate it as the most physically and technically demanding of Table Mountain's standard routes, with real exposure to heights on narrow ledges.
