West Coast region · representative photograph, not this specific trail

SANParks lists the Steenbok Trail as a one-day 13.9km walk (about five hours excluding breaks) that starts and finishes at Tsaarsbank. It is open only in August and September and must be booked in advance — bookings open in June — through Geelbek Information Centre on 022 707 9902/3. Maximum 20 people. The first stretch follows the two-day Postberg route toward Konstabelkop; Steenbok markers show where it leaves that trail. Do not start later than 09:00. Postberg closes at 17:00. Water is only at Tsaarsbank and Plankiesbaai. Some sections share roads with park traffic. Pets are not permitted. This is not the two-day Postberg Hiking Trail.
