CapeNature lists the Kogelberg Trail as a moderate-to-long 24km walk of about eight hours along Oudebosch gorge, through the Oudebosch montane forest and near the Platbos and Louw’s Bos patches. Start no later than 10:00 in summer and 08:00 in winter. Closed shoes required. Permits from the reserve office or CapeNature Central Reservations (087 087 8250). Day-access tariffs on the official page have shown both R60/R30 and R65/R45 — we do not pick one figure. Limited first-come parking. No cellphone reception after the gravel turn-off from the R44.
