Klapperkop Nature Reserve is a 285-hectare City of Tshwane reserve on Johann Rissik Drive. Official coordinates S25 46 49 E28 12 36. Fort Klapperkop (completed January 1898) sits inside the reserve. The City page: visitors can walk, hike, jog or cycle Johann Rissik Drive; self-guided hikes are permitted. Hours September–April and May–August: 06:00–18:00. Tariffs: free entrance. Directions: R21 from Fountains Circle, turn into Johann Rissik Drive; entrance about 900 m from the turn-off. Bookings and enquiries 012 358 1757 / 1753 / 8188. The City page does not publish a named trail-kilometre table or a dog rule. This is not Groenkloof Nature Reserve next door.
