CapeNature lists the Panorama Circuit as 17km and about six hours: a steep climb to a contour below the Banhoek peaks, then Bergriviernek, the Dwarsberg plateau and a descent past Tweede and Eerste Waterval. A short detour from Kurktrekkernek reaches Guardian Peak (1,227m). GPS tracks often read shorter than the official 17km — we publish the reserve figure. No access after 10:00; everyone must be out by 18:00. From 23 March 2026, circular-route parking is closed until further notice: use the outside parking and walk about 5km to the trails. Day-access tariffs on the reserve page have shown both R70 and R50 — confirm at the MTO gate or on the official page. Permits can be bought via the MTO website or at the gate. Office: 087 087 4118.
