Starting at the Meulwater picnic site off Jan Phillips Mountain Drive, this route climbs to the 543m summit of Paarl Rock, one of the largest granite outcrops in South Africa, with 360-degree views over the Winelands. Paarl Mountain Nature Reserve is unusual in being municipally managed by Drakenstein Municipality rather than SANParks or CapeNature.
