Cats' Path (Cats se Pad) follows a genuine 1819 wagon track, named for the surveyor S.J. Cats, from the top of Reservoir Street in Franschhoek up to a monument at the top of Franschhoek Pass. The route passes historic waypoints including the Jan Joubertgat Bridge and Cat's Toll House, crosses the R45 pass road, and climbs a short metal ladder in its final, steepest section.
