Limietberg Nature Reserve is CapeNature’s World Heritage mountain reserve in the Du Toitskloof Mountains near Paarl, stretching from Franschhoek toward Voëlvlei Dam. The reserve page writes some 102,000 ha (a filming blurb on the same page writes 117,000 ha). Official day-hike permits R55 adult / R35 child — confirm if the tariff year has rolled. Named trails on the hiking page: Bobbejaans River 8km / 6 hours (gate code; book 48 hours ahead), Happy Valley 9km / 6 hours, Krom River 7km / 5 hours, Eland River 7km / 5 hours, Rockhopper 8km / 6 hours. The same page states hiking trails are for campers, not picnickers. Tweede Tol picnic is a separate day product: book at booking.capenature.co.za, gates 08:00–18:00, day visitors capped (the page writes both 100 and 120). Alcohol is not permitted; vehicles are inspected; Tweede Tol entrance has a 3.2 m height restriction. No pets. Office 08:00–16:00. Tweede Tol 087 087 4145. Limietberg office 021 871 1535. Bookings 087 087 8250. Not Jonkershoek and not Mont Rochelle.
