The Twelve Apostles mountain range above the Atlantic seaboard, Cape Town
Cape Town region · representative photograph, not this specific trail

Chapman's Peak Drive’s own trail page describes a moderate out-and-back of just over 5km, about three hours including a summit stop, to the 593m beacon above Hout Bay. A green SANParks signpost marks the start at the lower end of the large parking area — the last checkpoint before the main viewpoint, reached from the Hout Bay side of the drive. Ask at the Hout Bay tollgate for a Day Pass and confirm current Day Pass hours on the official drive site; do not use a copied toll figure. The path climbs a ravine on rock steps, meets the Noordhoek junction, then a short scramble to the beacon. This is not a walk along the road viewpoints.
