This route runs from Ou Kraal on Boyes Drive up through Mimetes Valley to Kalk Bay Peak, returning through the Spes Bona Afromontane forest. It's one of the longer, more strenuous routes on this side of Table Mountain National Park. As with the neighbouring Amphitheatre trail, this area has a documented history of hiker safety incidents, so check current conditions before setting out.
