What this reserve is

Proclaimed 25 February 1895 by Paul Kruger as the first game sanctuary on the African continent, about 5km from the city centre. Game reintroduced from 1999 includes impala, kudu, blue wildebeest, ostrich, giraffe and red hartebeest. The City page does not list a dog rule; Groenkloof is not on Tshwane’s pet-friendly walks list. We leave dogs as unconfirmed.
