Cape Town region · representative photograph, not this specific trail

An easy, well-marked path through fynbos to a seasonal waterfall. SANParks calls this a light walk in the Silvermine section of Table Mountain National Park and associates waterfalls with Gate 2 (left turn a few hundred metres past Gate 1; entry from 08:00, exit by 18:00 year-round). Silvermine dam or Silvermine reservoir is the Gate 1 picnic, not this walk. Confirm the current start and conservation fee on the official Silvermine page — we do not copy a rand figure. Dogs need a SANParks My Activity permit and must stay on a leash. Flattest in the first half; the last stretch to the falls has some rock scrambling. Best after winter rain (May–September) when the waterfall is actually flowing.
