SANParks lists the Harkerville Coastal Trail as 26km in the Knysna section of Garden Route National Park, on the same official hikes page as Kranshoek (9km) and Garden of Eden (800m). That 26km figure is the distance we publish. SANParks has announced a temporary inland reroute after a safety assessment closed parts of the coastal path; scenic viewpoints between Sinclair Hut and the Kranshoek picnic area, and Kleineiland, have been described as still accessible. Confirm the current route on SANParks before you drive. Pets are not permitted. Daily conservation fees apply — check the Garden Route rates page rather than a copied figure.
