Golden Harvest Park

Johannesburg region · representative photograph, not this specific trail

Johannesburg City Parks lists Golden Harvest Park as a 55-hectare fenced park near the Northgate Dome, established by the old Randburg municipality in 1972. Official copy: rolling walks around a dam with waterfowl, indigenous bushveld, and an ancient iron-smelting area on the koppie. Completely fenced with a guard at the gate. There is an entrance fee — the park page does not publish the rand amount, so we do not invent one. The JCPZ walking-trails page describes walks of 30 minutes to 1 hour. Getting there: off Malibongwe Drive to Olievenhout Avenue, then Maple Road. Address block: First Avenue, Northgate. Phone 011 712 6600. The official page does not list dogs or a picnic area.
