Official day visit
From the Fernkloof visitor page: no entrance fee. Donations welcome at the Visitors’ Centre. Summer 06:00–19:00. Winter 07:00–18:00. Maps R20 at the centre and the nursery. Parking just inside the gates and at the centre, 500m up the tarred road. No restaurant. No camping. Emergency: Overstrand 028 313 8000 / 312 2400.

- The official visitor page says no entrance charge. Donations into the safe at the Visitors’ Centre are welcome. Maps are sold there for R20.
- Are dogs allowed at Fernkloof Nature Reserve?
- Only on the lower Blue Route, on a lead at all times. Official page: dogs are not permitted on the higher mountain paths. Remove droppings.
- Is Fernkloof the same as the Hermanus Cliff Path?
- No. Fernkloof is the mountain reserve three kilometres east of the town centre. The Cliff Path is the free coastal walk from the New Harbour to Grotto Beach.
