CapeNature's Robberg Nature Reserve sits 8km south of Plettenberg Bay on a World Heritage peninsula. Three circular walks share the entrance gate: the Gap Circuit (2.1km, about 30 minutes) into a mudstone cleft; the Witsand Circuit (5.5km, about two hours) along the northern ridge to the climbing-falling dune, tombolo and boardwalk above the seal colony; and the Point Circuit (9.2km, about four hours), a fairly strenuous walk to the Point and back along the southern rocky shoreline, not recommended for young children. Day-visit permits are R75 per adult and R55 per child at the gate, per CapeNature's published tariff. No pets. Three viewing decks have picnic facilities and water points. Southern right whales are typically visible from the reserve from June to November.
